The BCIA has members from all over the globe. We have baby carrier compliance guides, connections, testing discounts, and supports for many regions. If we aren’t able to answer a question about your particular region, it is likely that we have a connection or a member who can!
The BCIA has members from a range of baby-carrier-related professions and industries. Our members include:
-Nonprofit groups who address babywearing or carrying as part of their mission
-Baby carrier manufacturers of all sizes
–Consumers who support the babywearing industry
-Retail stores who sell baby carriers
-Consultants and related professions and businesses
Members have access to a vast library of information, including videos, checklists, articles, and more. We also offer low cost compliance consultation services to members.
Yes. We have baby carrier warning labels and product registration cards that are compliant with ASTM carrier standards.
The BCIA has partnered with a leading product registration company to offer a low-cost, turnkey product registration service that is suitable for businesses of all sizes. We have a membership option available for businesses who wish to utilize this service but don’t need other carrier-related services. Our product registration service is our most popular program.
The Baby Carrier Industry Alliance does not provide these services. However, we can refer you to members who can support you in these and other needs you may have related to your business.
Your annual BCIA membership provides access to all member services. Many of our member companies have been continuous members since our inception in 2010. BCIA membership is a low cost, high benefit solution for anyone who works within the baby carrier field.
The BCIA is a US-based trade organization incorporated as a not-for-profit but with the ability to lobby and work with the government on policies that affect our members. We are NOT a government organization, and we do NOT write or enforce carrier standards.

Periodically, we have in-person meetups for members. We also hold a number of virtual informational and networking events.
